“Every year 20-somethings come to New York in search of the two l’s — love and labels.” I must admit, Carrie Bradshaw was right, on all of my trips to New York, I looked for the two l’s…I love a man with an east-coast accent and a label on 5th Avenue!

Of course, I along with thousands of other fashionistas of New Orleans went to see the premier of Sex and the City. From the opening credits, it was clear that fashion had a staring role; from Manolo pumps to Louie Vuiton bags this movie was filled with fabulous high-end fashion that many dream of but few can pull off!

Each of the four main characters, Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha, has a distinct style that fits her personality and lifestyle. I thought it would be nice to dedicate this blog to the fabulous four of Sex and the City and the Fashion that make them so effortlessly Chic!

Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) is fearlessly fashionable: her style ranges from uptown chic to whimsy to sex kitten. Stilettos are a staple, and there are mixes of designer with flea market finds that complete her unique look.

Samantha (Kim Cattrall) wears sexy styles that exude confidence. She is a Woman (with a capital “W”) and the message comes across loud and clear through strong styles and bold color.

Charlotte (Kristin Davis) has a sweet, preppy style that is always accompanied by the proper bag and shoes. Bows, cute prints and feminine styles play up the kind nature of her look.

Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) looks like a very well-dressed career gal with chic corporate suits and androgynous styles.

Clearly its close to impossible to look like these gals every moment of our lives (I wish I had the money to try), but if we make smart and stylish choices, we can almost come close. Keep it Chic…from N.O. to N.Y!
